It was a huge task that my sister and I would not have been able to do on our own. We didn’t know where to even start.
Our parents had lived in their home for over 55 years. Last June our mother fell ill and once we realized she needed to go into Long Term Care we had to figure out a plan. My father would go into a retirement home but how would we declutter the house? We know we would need help to declutter and downsize. My sister and I felt very overwhelmed with all the work that would need to be done. We knew the home would need to be sold but we really didn’t know where to start. We found an article our mother had cut out from the paper about HSHT. We met with Patti and she was able to come up with a plan and get the job done in a timely organized manner. She answered all our questions on the way. My sister and I are so grateful for the staff and the services they offer, They made the whole process much easier.
Overall, we were very happy with the outcome, right from the beginning. We received a quote by email, after the initial consult. We found the cost was very reasonable. Patti gave us honest advice and helped us to come up with a plan and work with our schedule/time line to get the job done. The final invoice was not over the estimate so there were no surprises with the final cost. Well worth the money spent!
The staff are very professional and reliable. They are also very compassionate and take pride in their work. Everything was great. The team showed up when they said they would and worked very efficiently everyday. We would absolutely recommend Patti and her services. Downsizing and and organizing the auction to sell items were very beneficial for us.

A few years ago I saw Patti’s Home Suite Home Transitions presentation about helping Seniors move and /or downsize. I just “filed it away”, until ...
Last Spring I REALIZED I WAS READY TO LET GO of a lot of “STUFF”.... wedding presents that were lovely but no longer being used, inherited coins and jewellery that had been in a safety-deposit box for 50 years, some furniture, some art, old sports autographs from the 1950’s, good china, serving dishes, flatware, well-used camping gear, small appliances and many everyday items etc. After asking Family to take whatever they wanted, I contacted Patti.
My main goal was to downsize our stuff and also make it easier for our executors when that time comes (hopefully not too soon). I am extremely pleased with the results. Patti and her team did all the work and we were left with a nice profit and empty shelves! It was a real weight off my mind.
When you are ready to downsize, I recommend you contact Patti as she is very pleasant to work with, knows her stuff and reaches a wide range of potential buyers.

I first heard of HSHT at a church women's meeting (AWC) where the speaker was a representative of HSHT. I was very impressed with the presentation and as I was living in a large condo by myself after my husband's death, and I had been considering downsizing, I invited the lady to have a consultation with me. After the consultation, I felt that this help would be the only way I could possibly go through the move as I am quite limited mobility-wise.
Knowing how to disperse my belongings was a major help to me -- from organizing the on-line auction...
May 2018. We have had the good fortune of receiving the professional services of Home Suite Home Transitions (HSHT) onTHREE separate ocassions.
Moving is a most challenging experience, especially for seniors. We needed to down-size, reorganize, de-clutter, donate - and move! All this is so capably performed by Patti Priestman's HSHT company of well-trained, happy, energetic staff. Our three moves (one of which was from Lindsay to Ptbo) have all been undertaken with them. We have always found Patti and her staff very caring, patient and trustworthy so of course we are engaging them for our fourth move! We are so grateful that she offers this very necessary service for seniors. You will find this team is always a joy to be around.
