Fair Market Value A Maxsold Story
The MaxSold Process on the surface of what a potential bidder would see it's excellent, it's easy it, it's streamlined, you can bid anytime you want and everything starts at $1 dollar. That's a scary perspective for the potential seller. I had one client who was [selling in an auction], we had an auction up and running and he said tho me, "Can I take this snowblower out of the auction my neighbour wants to buy it and they're willing to pay me $200 for it". And I said, no you've signed a contract you know we can't remove things once they're up. Tell your neighbour to bid on it, which is what I tell other clients that saves them having a fight with their neighbour when their neighbour doesn't want to give enough for it, so let them bid on it, let them get it for the fair market value. So he wasn't super happy with that because it was early in the process, he was worried. Well the snowblower sold on MaxSold for $650. His neighbour was willing to give him $200. So it was a win-win for all of us, except for maybe that neighbour.
