Moving is Stressful!
Our Process begins with a Move Manager professional assessing the scope of the project. Projects may include all or part of, sorting possessions into what to keep, donate, sell, floor planning for furniture, packing and unpacking at the new location. The initial visit is always free of charge.
Help from family members may involve time constraints, conflicting opinions and long distance communications, which in turn may produce family friction and ultimately more stress.
HSHT staff are respectful, emotionally neutral Senior Move Managers who can keep family members connected, without the worry of family frictions. Acting as a sounding board/advocate for the senior in transition will make the process more enjoyable, more efficient and more manageable for everyone in your family.
Let's start by discussing what you need and how we can help. We offer a free 1-2 hour consultation in your home, to make sure we can help you (and that we meet your expectations and needs!).
This may involve:
- Discussing your plans
- Measuring furniture
- Taking photographs of your furniture and possessions
- Collecting information to prepare a floor plan so you can clearly see your new home space.
- Arranging for preferred trusted service providers to return
(such as appraisers, collection specialists, purchasers for specific possessions, moving companies.)
We provide home transitions every day. Our expertise, and fine tuned processes will make your experience smoother, less stressful, than trying to get through the process alone. We provide boxes, packing materials, and are experts in the entire process - let us get you moved, settled, and able to enjoy your new, safe home!
We are happy to meet you, in your home, to discuss your transition needs. This service is provided at no charge.
We will provide a written estimate outlining a transition plan to meet your needs, timelines to complete the project, and a cost estimate.
Once an agreement is made, experienced staff are available so you wont take this journey alone! You will have a teamleader to connect with whenever needed, 24/7.
The weeks of planning is almost over! Possessions have been sorted, downsized, and packed. A floorplan identifies where all pieces of furniture will be placed (and fit safely!). Today is move day! A staff member will be on site throughout move day to make sure everything runs smoothly. Once furniture and boxes are picked up by the moving company (we work with numerous companies), the rest of the team will meet them at the new residence.
