Once you know the location of where you'll hang your hat (and call it home), we develop a floor plan of the living space.

We work hand in hand with you, helping you decide what furnishings you love and want to bring into your new home. Function and safety become priorities.

Together, we develop a personalized floor plan to create a new home that truly fits your needs. As you start visualizing your new home it becomes less of an unknown and more familiar!

TIP: The question is not what furniture fits, but how does our client use space in their current home, where do they accomplish the functions that are important to them? Where is their "primary comfort zone" in the current home; where should it be in the new home? Where do they sit to watch TV, where do they pay bills or have tea? Which lamps provide the light they like, where do they sit to put on shoes, which side of the bed do they sleep on, where DO they hang their hat!

Testimonials

Do it before Health Issues Force You to.

It is hard to know where to start when saying how much help you gave me.  I know I couldn't have done it without you.  I was comfortable with Patti when I first met her.  So we had a good starting point. All the staff know what they are doing.  Denise helped me reduce, reduce reduce!  She was really thoughtful and wouldn't let me physically do too much, she would jump in - which helped me save my energy.  I would have kept far too much, far more than I really needed.  Denise was able to gently remind me of what I would really need, rather than leave me focused on what I thought I could take - but may never need or use (afterall I haven't been using it in my apartment).  I did keep some items I couldn't part with and Denise supported me in those decisions.  And now that I am settle in at Kawartha Heights Retirement I know I,we, made the right decisions.

HSHT staff know what they are doing.  I suggest anyone who needs any kind of help with decluttering and moving call Patti first!  Do it, make your move before you HAVE to! (or health issues force you to).
